How are warts transmitted?
Skin to skin contact or any minor abrasion on the skin can facilitate infection.
Is treatment necessary?

Are any investigations required?
If the wart does not resolve with standard and tried techniques and if the spread is rapid in a very short time, it is best to investigate for any immune deficiency.

Yes, they can.
What are the treatment options?
Different modalities of treatment exist.
– Topical Applications and Oral Zinc supplements
– Radiofrequency / Electrocautery techniques : ideal for warts on face
– Bleomycin Tattooing
– Intralesional injections: At Skeptre, we prefer this option for warts occurring on the palms and soles, as we have seen faster resolution with a reduction in recurrence. This is because this treatment aims at working to improve the overall immunity of the individual.
Will there be scarring?
No, when done with proper patient counselling and technique, wart removal does not leave behind a scar.
